1、单螺杆泵严禁在泵腔无液体的情况下空运转，必须在启动前由泵进口把液体注入泵体后再启动螺杆泵，以免空转磨损螺杆泵定子。
2、启动单螺杆泵前还得必须先确定螺杆泵的运转方向，螺杆泵不能反转。
3、新安装或长时间停泵数天后的单螺杆泵，不能立即起动，也应该向泵体注入适量润滑剂或螺杆泵输送的液体，再用管子钳扳动螺杆泵几转后才可以起动。
4、不锈钢螺杆泵输送高粘度的液体或含有腐蚀性的介质后，应该用清水或者溶剂进行冲洗螺杆泵泵腔，防止堵塞以免造成下次起动螺杆泵时困难而损坏定子。
5、冬天使用单螺杆泵温度偏低不使用时应该排除泵体积液，防止泵体冻裂或者泵内结冰下次起动时拉坏定子。
6、使用过程中轴承箱内应定期加润滑油，发现轴端有渗流时，要及时处理或调换油封。
7、在运行中如发生异常情况，应立即停泵检查原因，排除故障。
